Coach Shane Jolin's team Firecrackers Alaska Jolin 12U, made the long trip to Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX the weekend of March 5, 2022 to play in the Southwest Softball Lone Star Shootout hosted by USA Softball at Ft. Worth's Gateway Park. During their visit they were able to take some time on Friday night to play a couple of friendlies with our Firecrackers DFW 12U teams Hernandez and Reyes at Alexander Park in Duncanville, TX.
The weather cooperated well as a beautiful sunset made the evening a picturesque view as the games got going. After the games they were invited for burgers and hot dogs to fuel them for their tournament over the weekend which began early Saturday morning. After playing a total of 10 games (including scrimmages) in a span of 4 days Coach Shane's team finished 3rd in the Open tournament with a 3-3-1 record! It was great to see another FC team from a different State. We hope you enjoyed your time in Texas Coach Shane and players/families! Congrats on your successful trip!!
