Tell us a little about yourself and your softball journey.

My name is Bella, and softball has been a huge part of my life since I started playing when I was 8 years old. What started out as something I did for fun quickly turned into something I became really passionate about. Over the years, I’ve played travel ball and high school softball, met so many amazing people, and learned a lot about myself through the game. Softball has taught me how to work hard, stay disciplined, handle the tough days, and be someone my teammates can count on. It has also given me some of my favorite memories and friendships. I’m really grateful for how far softball has taken me and for everyone who has supported me along the way.
What made you fall in love with softball?
I fell in love with softball because of how much the game challenges me. There’s always something new to learn, something to improve, and another opportunity to get better. I love being on the field with my teammates and knowing that we’re all working toward the same goal. Softball has given me some of my closest friendships and favorite memories, and it has taught me so much about hard work and staying committed. It’s more than just a sport to me now. It’s a big part of who I am and has helped me grow into a stronger athlete and a better person.
What do you consider your biggest strength on the field?
I think my biggest strength is my energy and how involved I stay in the game. I try to bring energy to my teammates, communicate, and keep my head up no matter what is happening. I’m very competitive, but I also understand that softball is a team sport, and my job is to do whatever I can to help my team succeed. I also think being coachable is one of my biggest strengths. I want to learn, I want to get better, and I’m always willing to listen when someone tells me something I can improve on.

What part of your game are you working hardest to improve?
Right now, I’m working the hardest on becoming more consistent in every part of my game. I want to continue improving my hitting, my confidence, and my ability to stay focused in every situation. I’ve learned that improvement doesn’t happen overnight, so I’m trying to be patient with myself and trust the process. I want to become the kind of player my teammates and coaches can count on in big moments. My goal is to keep working, keep learning, and continue getting better every time I step on the field.
Who has had the biggest influence on your softball career, and why?

My parents have had the biggest influence on my softball career. They’ve always been there for me through the good and the bad, made sacrifices for me, and supported me every step of the way. They’ve taught me that who I am as a person matters just as much as how I perform on the field. I also have to give a lot of credit to my coaches, especially Coach Joe and Miss Rosie, because they have believed in me, pushed me, and helped me grow throughout my softball journey. I’m thankful for everyone who has invested their time and energy into helping me become the player and person I am today.
What’s your favorite softball memory so far?
It’s hard to choose just one because softball has given me so many great memories. Some of my favorite memories are from travel ball tournaments, road trips, and getting to spend so much time with my teammates. I especially love the moments when all the work we’ve put in finally comes together and we get to celebrate with each other. When I look back on my softball career, I know I’ll remember the people and the experiences just as much as the games themselves. Those are the moments that have made softball so special to me.

What does being a great teammate mean to you?
To me, being a great teammate means being someone others can count on. It means bringing energy, encouraging people when they’re struggling, celebrating their successes, and always having their back. I don’t think being a good teammate is only about what you do on the field. It’s also about how you treat people off the field and the kind of person you are when nobody is watching. I want my teammates to know that I will always support them, believe in them, and do whatever I can to help the team succeed.

What are your biggest goals for your high school and travel-ball career?
My biggest goals are to keep getting better, compete at a high level, and make the most of every opportunity I have with my high school and travel teams. I want to continue improving my skills while becoming a stronger leader and teammate. I want to finish my high school and travel-ball career knowing that I gave everything I had and represented my teams the right way. I also want to continue learning from every experience and use everything I’ve been through to prepare myself for the next level.
What are you looking for in a college softball program?
I’m looking for a college softball program that feels like a family and has a strong culture built around trust, hard work, accountability, and relationships. I want coaches who will push me to become the best version of myself while also caring about who I am outside of softball. I want to be surrounded by teammates who are competitive, supportive, and willing to work for each other. Academics are also very important to me because I plan to pursue nursing, so I want a program that allows me to grow both on the field and in the classroom. Most importantly, I want to feel like I belong and know that I can make a difference.
What do you want college coaches to know about you?
I want college coaches to know that I’m someone who is willing to work for everything I want. I’m competitive, coachable, and I care a lot about the people around me. I’m not looking for anything to be handed to me. I want to earn my opportunities and continue proving myself. I bring a lot of energy to the field, but I also understand the importance of discipline, accountability, and being a good teammate. I take my academics seriously and want to build a future for myself beyond softball. Most importantly, when I commit to something, I give it everything I have.
